Teens in Politics

Inspiring tomorrow's leaders to follow their political passions

Teens in Politics

Teens in Politics was founded with the goal of helping motivated teenagers obtain political internships. There are very few resources that are available for teenagers to learn about politics, or to assist offices in filling political internship positions. We offer the opportunity for students and young adults to experience the world of politics and get a head start on their political career. We display the latest internship positions for high school students in the New York area and are expanding for the 2020 Election.

“This world demands the qualities of youth: not a time of life but a state of mind, a temper of the will, a quality of imagination, a predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease.”

                                             - Robert F. Kennedy

Why Teenagers Should Care About Politics and Government

For the past several decades, the U.S. has lagged behind other countries in youth political participation. In fact, in the 2010 midterm elections, the turnout of people aged 18 to 24 was just 21%. We explore the phenomenon of youth political apathy and offer solutions in our blog post The Importance of Youth Engagement in Politics.
